Sega and Creative Assembly have officially pulled back the curtain on Alien: Isolation 2, debuting a brand-new trailer at Summer Game Fest 2026. While the footage didn't specify a launch date or release window, the survival horror sequel is locked in for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam, where players can already add it to their wishlists. Furthermore, the title is headed to the Nintendo Switch 2, with eShop wishlisting expected to go live shortly.
The upcoming campaign places players inside Kurosaki Station, a remote Weyland-Yutani outpost. Shifting away from the original game's lead, the narrative unfolds through the eyes of a completely new protagonist, who must endure a harrowing game of cat-and-mouse with the relentless Xenomorph. To help players outsmart this ultimate predator, the developers have promised an arsenal of fresh tools, techniques, and tactical options.
“It has been over a decade since the debut of the original Alien: Isolation, and I am thrilled to give everyone this initial look at the sequel,” creative director Al Hope expressed in a statement. “Our specialized Survival team at Creative Assembly has poured immense effort into delivering a next-level Isolation experience. While honoring the legacy of the Alien franchise, we’ve engineered a sharper, more intelligent apex predator, a harsher world, and even slimmer odds of staying alive.”
Creative Assembly initially confirmed that a follow-up was in active development back in 2024, marking the ten-year anniversary of the first game. Earlier this year, the studio dropped hints about open-air settings—a massive departure from the claustrophobic, tightly confined hallways that defined the original. As confirmed by the latest trailer, Alien: Isolation 2 will seamlessly blend indoor and outdoor environments, granting players the freedom to venture outside Kurosaki Station and chart the rugged terrain of the colony world.
